What is the difference between Himalayan salt and every other kind of salt?

The term “Himalayan” salt has had millions of dollars used to market the term for salt lamps that have become popular. Statistically, maybe half the salt you see that is called “Himalayan” is probably from China – but that doesn’t ring as exotic, right? Pink salt, made with various levels of zinc oxide, is not as cool when marketed as “pink,” or “impure” so using a general term such as Himalayan covers this dilemma – and there is a lot of salt over there!

What is the difference between pink or white salts?

It is beauty and benefits combined. They both have the same naturally occurring minerals – which means they produce the good negative ions that nuetralize bad positive ions. Different levels of minerals create the uniqueness of each stone. For example, the more iron oxide found in the salt, the darker the color. White salt is at a premium because it is the rarest. You can put together combinations of colors for a unique look.

Depending on the shapes, colors and availability, we import most of our salt from Poland. We are a woman-owned business, and her family team operates the European branch of the salt cave build/design team. This team is also the crew that will build your salt cave. We don’t contract out your build to amatuers!

You are able to design the walls to your unique style. No two caves are the same! Our highly-trained team will help advise on the best way to create the walls to “melt” in your personalized space. Depending on color and availability, our salt is mined directly from Poland, which is famous for their healing salt caves in Wieliczka, or from cruelty-free mines in Pakistan.
